De Verburgt stamboom gaat terug tot ca 1600, het jaar waarin Steven Verburght waarschijnlijk geboren werd. De achternamen Verburght, Verburcht, Verborcht kwamen voor, echter in de 18e eeuw werd het Verburgt. De Verburgt Meeting Place is een excellente manier om met de andere Verburgt in kontakt te komen. Verburgten kunnen zich hier gratis opgeven voor de club.
N.B.: Er zijn verschillende wapens gevonden voor familie Verburght en Verborcht in Utrecht / Gelderland, familie Verburcht in Noord-Holland. Het familiewapen is gebaseerd op een gevonden oud lakafdruk, die aan de familie (Gelderse tak) zou toebehoren.
